What Customers Say About LG enV VX9900 Phone, Orange (Verizon Wireless, Phone Only, No Service):

The outbox has no limit (that I've run into), and it has nothing to do with settings or actual storage space available. Unfortunately the unusable aspects are pretty central. This is unbelievably, supremely annoying. I have trouble understanding almost everyone who calls me, and others also have issues hearing me.

It *will* bother you if you tend to keep your texts around. I tested another phone from my house to see if it was a network issue, and it was fine. - I've had this phone for about 11 months now, and I drop/batter/abuse it terribly. This may have been fixed in newer models (at least I hope so). It averages about 2 days of use (alarm clock, about an hour of phone conversations, and a dozen texts per day in my case) before it needs to be charged. It's a decent size, and pretty durable (my backspace key is not very responsive these days, but the rest are good).

So I can safely say it's been very durable. - The menus and user interface are the standard Verizon setup. The not-so-good: - Text messages have a storage limit (I believe it's set at 50) for the inbox only. This would have been a deal-breaker for me on this phone if I'd known. Great in some regards, utterly unusable in others. The good: - If you're going to send text messages, the keyboard is awesome. - The battery life started out great and is still pretty good.

- The sound quality is very bad.

This phone has often has two or three EV and TX bars. It still beats other phones we've had. They have added some usability perks too. It also takes quality pictures and video that surpass any cell phone we've had. And when they came out with my favorite color, I had to upgrade. When he sent it back I could set it as a ring tone lol. I still love my phone.

I promised to keep it until it completely fell apart. I'm not sure why because my husband's new phone still doesn't get a signal so we don't have new towers. I don't play music on it currently so with general use and a lot of texting my battery lasts 4 to 5 days without a charge. I use the notepad function a lot to remember things when paper/pen/computer isn't nearby. To get my own ring tone I video'd a song playing on my computer and sent it via text to my husband. I get amazing reception for the middle of nowhere with this phone. The calendar and alarm function has many options. The old enV did have better ring tone options IMO.

The power went out during a storm here in the country and I used the internet function to watch the radar which was very nice. This is actually the third release. This one is a bit thinner, and I find the texting a bit more awkward.

All other cell phones we've had barely got a bar or two. Unless they surprise me again. So for the very basc cell phone owner, it's:Beautiful/ great styleDurable- very solid constructionLots of function toolsVery customizableGreat picturesGreat battery lifeLots of reception barsGreat for emergenciesAnd for a texter like me it is a must.I'll keep this phone until it falls apart.

I splurged on the first enV before it became popular and the came out with a less expensive version. Some of the functions are harder to find or make shortcuts to. I also use the calendar for reminders on everything from an internet bid to doctors appointments and birthdays.

Buy it~ it is great. Sending a txt is fast and same with calling someone. This phone is the best i ever had. Everything works and it is a little on the bulky side but i really got use to it i love the full keyboard not just for texting but for adding contacts too.The photos it takes are soooooo clear and come out soo nice i like the orange it is a fun color to have but i like birght colors presonally. If you are a texter here is the phone for you the singal is great were i live i use to not get barley anything this i get 4 bars.

(I purchased the phones at Best Buy) Anyway, the ear speaker in the EnV performs more clearly than the Voyager but not as well as the Venus. Same with all the keys on the face. I am sure a woman with smaller hands would have no problem. Venus wins there too. This was not the first LG I tried, this was the second after trying the Voyager which I was not pleased with mainly because of the fickle touch screen. If a full keyboard QWERTY is not a necessity to you, then I would pass on this one and try a Venus. I turned in the Voyager and picked up this orange version of the EnV as opposed to the silver version only because the upper inside left key is a short cut to other menus as opposed to only an email key on the silver.

I gravitated toward an LG phone because of what I felt was it's good reputation. Same goes for the speaker phone. Also, what bothered me about the EnV is the logic of actually using the phone and it's different functions. I much prefer the Venus because the button locations and choices it gives you makes more sense how it is designed and functions. The Venus is easy to read, as is the Voyager. I have no complaints about the buttons on the inside although they are a little closer together than those on the Voyager. The worst is how small the letters are on the front numbered buttons if you should happen to want to use them. It's a bit more money at the time I am writing this, but well worth it in so many ways.

They are tiny even for a young person's eyes. I am a middle aged, six foot tall guy with average sized hands for a man. Not sure how the green EnV is laid out.My main complaint of this phone is that the buttons on the front are so close together that I had a very hard time choosing (for example) the bottom arrowed button and instead would get the ok button or the button below the down arrow.

I might as well throw in here that I also returned this EnV phone the very next day and after really reading through all these reviews on LGs on Amazon, settled on the Venus which I love. Hope this helps. I will be giving the Voyager three stars and the Venus five stars.

I changed from Sprint to Verizon after being a Sprint customer for over a decade. This happened even when I tried to carefully do it. The front screen on the EnV is so small that the print is hard to read too.

It also has a lot more settings and a flash much like a regular point and shoot digital camera. Also, it takes 4 or 5 key strokes to get the camera ready to take a picture. The razr I replaced with the enV was through AT&T so maybe that's the reason. Not real handy when you want to quickly capture a fleeting moment. Voices sound slightly muffled.

Camera is much, much better than that on the razr though owing to the higher megapixels. Different carrier. This may be an issue with Verizon rather than with the phone. I've had my enV for over a month now and I'm generally happy with it.EXCEPT.call quality not as good as the razr I had prior to the enV. Not sure.

The razr took 1 or possibly 2 strokes.
